My first game as a student. We were stomping our feet on the metal bleachers the entire game. LSU kicked butt all over the field that night but USC found a way to pull it out at the end. We were chanting “LSU! LSU!” leaving the stadium after the game.
I have attended pretty much every single big LSU home game since then and have never again seen Tiger Stadium like it was that night.

I was at that game. The LSU fans stood for the whole game, both student section and regular fans. The call against Thibideaux was completely bogus..

My Freshman year too. It was an epic experience. I couldn't hear the entire game except at 1/2 time. I was so sure we had it on that 4th down play...

Same here. Only game I've heard was comparable was 1971 Notre Dame as far as sustained noise. I was too young for that one.
