I think you missed the point there, they are all roughly the same height,
The difference from 6’3” to a 6’1” player is 94% tile to 81% tile
It starts to normalize pretty sharply considering 6’3” & 6’2” are separated by just 1 percentage point

there are 6'4 corners in this conference (who are good).
Which guys are we talking about?
There have only been 3 legit 6’4” CB’s that have tested at the combine since 1999. Maybe they missed 1 or 2 but this database is pretty damn comprehensive.

He's gonna be so good. Great go between for Stingley to Ricks

Jalen Ramsey plays safety?
Damn that’s news to me

A few weeks ago you were acting like you followed Florida state bro

I don't care where Ricks plays, he's going to be a playmaker for us. If it's at corner I'm ok with that, if it's at safety I'm ok with that too.
We have an embarrassment of riches at CB and Flott will be another name to add to the long list of stud CBs to come out of LSU.

Yea I like him too. Could be totally off

I could see Ricks as more of a zone corner in the NFL one day Lester. Jumps routes well reading QB’s eyes. I think he’s fast enough to play corner at SEC level.
A move to safety may happen at some point, but LSU obviously likes him at corner.
I don’t see him as a day one starter like Stingley despite his #1 ranking out of HS. Then again who is?
Ricks development will be interesting to watch.
Also, I doubt he’s a legit 6-3. Probably closer to 6-2.

I know this discussion is about defense, but I believe Arik Gilbert projects as a day one starter.
I do believe Ricks will see a lot of playing time, though maybe not starting the first game.

Same guy predicts Mario Goodrich as a breakout player too

I know this isn’t the conventional wisdom but I think Kary Vincent will be starting at Safety with Flott playing the slot. This all depends on, what I also think will happen, Raydar stepping up to CB2.
Freshmen (Ricks) almost never start in the defensive backfield, or on defense in general and, while they’ll get rotation time, the starters will be experienced.
But with a rotation at CB of Stingley, Flott, Ward, and Radar and at S of Vincent, Hampton, Stevens, Harris (maybe even Monroe) and even Toles and Ricks for four games, this backfield is bad!
But we won’t blow everyone’s redshirt. I can definitely see Ricks, Toles, and McGlock all red shirting.

Go back and look at his offer list and tell me if it screams 3 star lol.. dude had like 50 offers and the entire SEC offered him.
Just like the safety who just committed. Low four star that every powerhouse wanted.

You can’t find 59 starters named Stingley who had a better freshman year, either.

The last former DB I want mentoring a DB is Sanders. Guys with that kind of talent rarely can teach. They just can’t understand why others don’t do what they did.

Ricks looks like a future safety to me
Maybe in the NFL, but he’s strong enough and quick enough to bully college WRs. I see what you mean, though. He’s likely to end up playing corner in a zone heavy NFL defense or at safety.
Solotiger said it best, but I think Lester is basically right about Ricks. He’s not a natural corner.

Ricks has the same exact build and game of Patrick Surtain, I’m not sure why y’all feel like he’s not a natural corner
