Ok, so to be fair, he probably didn't know she was dead or at least didn't know she had been dead long, but still...

A place I used to work at years ago had Sheriff deputies on paid details and it was the rotation of guys so I got to know them pretty well. One told me a story of a dead body they found in a field and it was obvious to them she had been re-visited several times by the killer for sexual purposes, as she laid dead in the field. They set up a stake out but were unsuccessful in catching the killer/rapist/POS/all of the above until much later.

That is absolutely insanely disturbing to even think about for very long. Sick, demented people in this world.
