A couple of comments of reply:

1) Normally, it's not hard to get a tee time. At the present moment it's a challenge because people are playing because there's nothing else to do, the weather has been nice, and they're only doing tee times in 15 minute intervals due to covid. That being said, I've played every day that I've wished to do so, just maybe not at the time I was wanting to.

2) With the exception of maybe 2-3 times per year, charity tournaments are only on Mondays when the course is closed anyway

3) There are about 3 weekends on average per year when there will be a collegiate event and the course is closed to members. During those times UC reciprocates with CCLA and BRCC and they'll make you a tee time there.

I've been a member at UC for years. I don't have any complaints.

Things must really have changed if this is true. There used to be mid week charity scrambles during the week all the time. I’d argue one Friday scramble is one too many. Raise the dues to what you need rather than close the course just to raise money.

I’d agree UC easily has the best practice facilities.

Considering CCL doesn’t do tee times I would imagine that’s difficult

You can definitely get tee times. I will say I called on a Friday morning for a tee time the next Friday, the earliest they had was 10:15. I had a friend call mid-day the same day and earliest he got was 2:45. This is a week in advance. I've called on Tuesday for Friday tee time and was told 4pm.
