Yes. He has a shoplifting charge in the last couple of years. This isn’t someone with a mile long rap sheet. Don’t overplay your hand while telling people to not overplay their hand.

Within minutes, almost certainly not. I dont know why the 911 operators would have a retired cop on speed dial to inform him of a potential may have seen someone trespassing on a construction site. That’s ridiculous Aside from that being asinine thats not what mcmichaels himself told police at the time either. He said he saw someone running and knew about recent break ins so he called his son to get ready for a confrontation. You are making things up to fit a defense of the murderers. If there was anything like you suggested , thats what he would have told police at the time, but he said “i saw a guy running and went to confront him”, not I was told by the DA someone was running, so I went to confront him
You’re right. It was just a coincidence. Neighbor that caught him breaking in didn’t spread the word and neither did any cops.

Is that criminal behavior or not?
I mean, that's the word I used. What's incorrect about it?

But they took guns to confront him. That’s not going to help them.
You can’t get your guns to effect a citizens arrest and then feign surprise when using them.
All of the warning signs were there for them. They blazed right through them and I hope they learn a lesson through it.

2). It’s very clear that Georgia’s citizens arrest law says that the force in effecting the citizens arrest must be commensurate with the offense. So running from a vacant house will not justify getting your gun. In the past, a man who beat an intruder with a baseball bat was judge to have used force not commensurate with the offense.
Had they just shot him as he ran by, your point would be valid.
Alas, that's not what occurred.
Your right getting out of the vehicle clearly negates the fact that they didnt meet citizens arrest criteria and initiated the confrontation.

I think you hit the nail on the head as far as your description of events, but i believe they walk. If the deceased continues to run or simply stands there and are shot its murder, when he charged the son that muddies the water. It’s why i say i will not use my gun to stop a robbery even maybe even if im held up, i will only confront someone to stop an imminent death situation. Theres just too many variables that arent worth the risk.

You said he had a history of stealing. He wasn’t a hardened criminal getting back from doing 10 in Attica. If you want people to follow your narrative, be consistent.

Buh he wuh a good kid. He loveded errbody.
Luckily he's gone before he killed somebody...if he already hadn't.
Those two men need to be set free so a message can be sent to these rat thugs that you will be shot and killed for your crimes.
The baby momma that birthed him should be jailed and the one that birthed her too.

I know he was busted for shoplifting. He may have been looking to steal something out of that unfinished house. But the evidence that he is an arch burglar and that the result is justified isn’t there.

Here’s a typical Poliboard post, Rob.

...wut
You think its more reasonable that a retired cop would be the first person notified by the 911 operators/ police station than what mcmichaels himself said happened that he just saw someone running and because of recent break ins decided to confront him?

Is it possible that another black man could’ve been running through the neighborhood? The detainers had no description other than “a black man running.”
How is that direct knowledge? The police would have the right to detain this person, but not a person with such a vague description.

So breaking and entering gives you the right to chase the person down with guns? Interesting.

Your interpretation of the law doesn’t change how it’s applied.

Well, if you’re gonna chase them down, I would recommend having a gun.
