Tyrann Mathieu - because his life was so turbulent when he left LSU it seemed probable that he was going self destruct on drugs and hang with the wrong crowd. Hats off to him for turning his life around. What an inspiration to young kids today to see what can be accomplished.

Ryan Clark for football, Ryan Theriot for baseball, and Garrett Temple for basketball. These 3 had longer careers than almost every LSU pro in their sport, and were only above average at LSU. Think of all the better LSU players that didn't have near the pro careers they did.

All 3 made 2nd team all SEC and that was their only/best honor in college.

You just never know what can happen if a kid gets a chance at the next level. RB Alfred Blue was number three on the Tiger depth chart & was drafted in the 6th by the Texans. He was there five years & signed by JV, injured & cut. Total 1,250 yard in four years with the Tigers, but earned his NFL pension. A good run.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned Josh Reed as being a disappointment. I thought he was going to be a solid pro after he left LSU. Michael Clayton is another one, had a career and got a ring but his career was a letdown given his talent
