That’s not saying much...

Surtain is going to be a really high draft pick. He’s very very good.

Why can’t people admit that?

Based on what exactly? His 5* recruiting ranking or playing at Bama?

Not sure what's funny, he's a sure fire first rounder and potential #1 CB off the board next year, very very good player and has shown that first 2 seasons easily

PFF has them as their 8th best returning CB in 2020. Stingley at 1.

And he was 2nd team last year on their All-SEC list behind Stingley and Diggs.

Not sure why anyone thinks him going 1st round is some kind of impossibility, if he improves even just a little the guy is no question a 1st rounder. He's been very shut down there.

He's a better athlete than Fulton or Diggs was and is a big dude at like 6'2, 200.

If Damon Arnette can get into the first round, then certainly Surtain can be a top 10-15 guy

Yeah not sure why some cant grasp the fact Surtain is a 1st rounder on most people's boards right now. He's been a very good player so far and should only get even better. I get some people are butthurt he chose Alabama over us but if he was here we'd all be talking him up as a 1st rounder no question. We'd have unquestionably the best corners in the country probably by a mile.

No way Jamie Newman and Brock Purdy are first round picks

Nothing would make me happier than Bama not getting into the CFP and Surtain never winning a national title at Bama.

But he's an extremely good corner. I don't think he has lived up to his hype, but he has been very solid.

I am not sold on Lawrence. Physically, yeah, the dude has it all. The arm, the pocket presence, the accuracy, size, mobility. He's very gifted. But I watched half of Clemson's games last year, and he has regressed. I think he will be fine statistically in that weak arse conference, but when especially in the first half of the year when they played P5 teams, he was staring guys down, and making some flat out stupid decisions throwing deep. He has all the tools to be consistently great NFL quarterback, but from what I saw last year I wonder if there is something not all there when he's making decisions or maybe it's a Clemson thing (which would surprise me after Boyd and Watson).

Newman going so high is surprising. I think this year will tell the league a lot about him. It's going to be nice to have someone with stats at WF and then be able to compare it against SEC defenses a year later.

Parsons is an animal, if he has a ball out type year in big games, I think he could actually sneak into the top 10.

Purdy took a step back from what he did October 2018, but he was still VERY good, especially down the stretch. I know size is kinda falling to the wayside, but that spot surprises me for him.

I expect Bateman to jump up. Morgan is back and they were absolutely lethal last year. Expect big plays from them in a weaker division.

I'll gouge my eyes out if the Saints take Moses.

Would be great if Alabama doesn’t win the NC next year so Surtain doesn’t get one; while the school he spurned collected one, possibly two.

Based on playing like an elite corner in the best division in the best conference in college football?

And having perfect size with top tier athleticism to go with it? And having very respected defensive backs guy as his head coach?

I'm pissed he didn't come to LSU too, but the kid is fricking awesome at football. People on this site are so blinded by hate.

I think Moses is stiff with great measureables and is a future average player in the NFL, but I think Surtain is one hell of a cornerback that will have a very long top shelf NFL career.

The experts here laughing at the thought of Surtain being a 1st round CB prospect is pretty funny

The guy is a really good DB.

I could see Surtain going in the first round, but not in the top 10. He’s more of a second half of the first round player in my opinion.

I don’t see 6 Alabama players getting drafted in the first round. It seems like every year mock drafts have 6 to 7 of them going in the first round. It’s lazy sports writing and a when in doubt put an Alabama player in the first round way of thinking. It won’t happen.
