I don't have a problem with businesses making their own policies and requiring masks. That being said, I will not go back to Costco until they lift the policy. I wonder if Sam's has a similar policy and if not, will this will increase their business?

Why does it have little value?

You realize the mask thing is mainly about protecting others from yourself?

So if you have it and aren’t showing symptoms and aware you are even sick with it you aren’t spreading it around as much as you would without a mask.

Better protects their staff as well if all customers have a mask on....so I can see why businesses may require them for entry now.

I love Costco, but I don’t know how y’all do this. It’s such a production going there during normal times. I imagine even moreso now.

Just saying....I have to wear a mask all day long at work.

So do I.

And if Costco wants to require it, I'll wear it there as well.

It's still dumb.

No man takes that long to shop. Even at Costco.

How is it arbitrary? Washing your hands protects you. Wearing a mask keeps you from contaminating others.

I’m confused as to why this thread is 8 pages. I don’t wear a mask anywhere and likely won’t unless forced.. but I’m not retarded enough to pretend it doesn’t prevent spread by even a small percent.

Costco is very much known for how well they treat their employees. I would have to imagine if HR is receiving requests from staff for protections against random customers, they listened. They’re known for that. How is this shocking to anyone?

You shouldn't come in contact with the checkout person.

Highly likely they are being strong armed into this by government

Or they think that people will feel more comfortable shopping in a safer environment

I’ll be doing my weekly shopping trip to Costco like I always do... without a mask. If I get confronted, I’ll claim a medical condition and leave it at that.

You feel “unsafe” shopping in the same store as me? Well, I really don’t give a frick.

I hope they throw your dumbass out, you hire Morris Bart to sue them and he wastes a bunch of your time and takes all the money.

Not because I care if you wear a mask, but because you are a prick

Pretty sure they just won't let you in the front door, unless your plan is to wear a mask just to get in then take it off.

So businesses will now refuse service to those with medical conditions? Yeh, that won’t backfire on them...

If you claim you have a condition that doesn’t allow you to wear a mask, you will be let in, or they will be screwed.

I just don’t understand why it’s such a dealbreaker.

It's a deal breaker because he's the type of person who believes that anytime he's made to do anything by anyone it's unconstitutional and a violation of his civil liberties .

Their cashiers are literally shielded by a corridor of plastic. They have gone insane in keeping their employees safe.

And that is a clearly stated exemption to the mask requirement in the Costco policy announcement

Exactly, it’s not about the cost of the mask or the inconvenience. Some people just like to say no.
