Just talked to a “recovered” COVID positive person

She had no fever to speak of, just a cough and a “nickel taste” in her mouth. Several guys at a local factory had it, and they, too, said there was nothing to it. We’ve destroyed one of our greatest periods of prosperity over a head cold. What a flippin sham.

I agree with you about the not closing down the economy part, but not the severity part. Everyone handles the virus differently based on many factors.
My sister had it and almost died and has been quarantined for a month and a half now.
My aunt got it at the same time and was just sick a few days.
You can’t put all cases in the same basket.

Or a synergy of one disease that added itself to another disease in your sister's system.

It’s a well known fact that everyone who didn’t vote for Trump is a pedophile. The reluctant Trump voters are about 45% pedophiles. If you had a Trump bumper sticker or MAGA hat but ever criticized him on an issue it’s unlikely you’re a pedophile, probably only 20 to 25% likelihood.

What the sham is that our CDC had to rely on models out of two universities that missed everything in exponentially erroneous assumptions. We have enough biostatisticians and epidemiologists in the country that we should not have to rely on anyone outside of the cdc. Granted, the same cdc that was producing contaminated test kits but the whole thing needs rebuilding once this is settled.

I am recovered. Mild symptoms for Day 1-6. Day 6-12 had some pretty aggressive fever but never any respiratory issues.
Once fever broke on day 12 I was fine. Starting back work tomorrow.
I agree that the response to all this has been a horrible miscalculation to say the least.
