Got an electric 40v blackndecker and haven’t had any problems with it. Have Only had for a year though.

Best electric piece of equipment ever. And the blower works good too. Easy to just pop the battery between the two. May try the hedge trimmer next.

I bought the 40 v black n Decker weed eater last year. After about the charges the battery charger took a dump. Contacted black and decker about the issue, sent them the bad charger they sent me a 36 volt charger that takes about 6 hours to charge a dead battery!
I’ll never give black n Decker my money again ... but I found out electric is the way to go on a weed eater that’s solely used for trimming

Same. Went through probably eight before I found a good one. It is actually awesome. Had it over five years now.

Ryobi 40v here. It's perfect for my smallish yard.
