Taysom Hill is our future. Last night proves it

Well, I guess I could be proven wrong tonight, but not drafting Love is evidence that Payton is comfortable with Hill as our future QB. We all know Brees is done after this season, so now was the time to draft his replacement if he weren't already on the team.
I didn't really buy the Payton coveting Love anyway, because he desires accurate passers. Love is not that.

I'll go on record here and say that Taysom Hill being the starting QB is never going to be part of the plan
I also don't understand how not drafting a QB last night proves anything about our future QB situation

No. I'm saying he's our QB. I have no idea if he's accurate or not, because we haven't seen him play enough.
Maybe next year they make a play at another QB, but current evidence says TayTay is our guy.

If CSP thought he was able to lead us to the SB he’d be the starting qb already on the cheap, and we’d be spending the 25m from Drew on a few other high end players.

Getting a mauling o line in place for Hill and a heavy run dominant offense makes sense.
I’ve said it before but I don’t see why Hill would be any different than a Cam Newton-like QB.

How often do teams usccessuly groom a QB to take over?
You have Rogers in Greenbay and Mahomes in KC (if you can't count that. They really jsut upgraded over Smith).
Maybe Prescott but thats not really what happened.

I think it's both. We already have Love on our team in Taysom. He's been developing and knows the system. Why use a 1st on a guy that's the same player? Roll with what you got.
I still am unsure if Tay will be a good QB or not. We just have not seen enough of him. Payton has, and it appears he is serious in his commitment to him. If so, then I am on board.

I would still think we need another QB though. I look forward to the melt when we eventually sign Winston even though i dont think its the worst thing in the world
