Sean Payton is 2 for 2 on recognizing badass QB's where others didn't.
Ex A Drew Brees - everyone thought he was washed up. NO ONE thought he was a hall of famer. SP said Brees was perfect for me and signed him. Rest is history. Lots of fans didn't know what to think at the time. Brees put worries to rest very quickly.
Ex B Tony Romo - NO ONE even knew who he was. Behind the scenes he was SP's fall back for Drew Brees. After Romo became a pro bowler, the news came out that SP was on Romo from the BEGINNING, telling Parcells that Romo was a beast.
That is 2 for 2.
I hope Taysom Hill makes it 3 for 3.
Obviously no one is counting Garret Grayson, Sean Canfield, or the old vet backups we've signed.
I would argue that SP was on Teddy too, even though ya'll all hate Teddy. Arguably 3 for 3.

Taysom may not be the QB of the future be he might be ok with being our Swiss Army Knife for a few more years if he can get paid better. Once Drew retires that should help.

I saw the thread when it was posted. It got whacked fast lol. I thought it particularly funny that none of them saw the irony of me posting the same thing once in each of their threads within about a 3 minute timeframe. I believe I had posted it over 30 times.

I dont know if Taysom is or isnt. But I agree that this draft shows that Sean Payton thinks he is.
This draft had 3 top qb’s. And 4 if you count Love. And we could groom them. So it wouldve made sense. You dont wait for Brees to retire then look to see if the draft has some good prospects. Some years there is only 1 1st round QB.

That’s doing it wrong though. The ideal situation is we win a ring next year, and we blow it up for a QB. In the NFL, you either want to be really good or really bad. Average is unacceptable.
