Replacing hot water heater (brand recommendation?)

Looking to get some work done in our master bathroom and most likely will replace existing 11.5 year old hot water heater.
Any recommendations or drawbacks for Rheem, AO Smith, American Standard or Whirlpool? Or others that I have not mentioned?
Wanting to go from 50 gallon to 80 gallon, assuming the diameter of tank is the same to get through attic opening.

Just installed AO Smith gas heater in my house. Made in the USA. It makes my cold water hot.

That might be a problem, even if replacing with the same gallon capacity. Check diameter carefully as I’ve read where many of today’s water heaters, even those of equivalent gallon capacity, are slightly larger in diameter because of increased insulation. I know in my case just a 2 inch increase in dia of a replacement water heater would require me to remove attic stairs to get them into the attic.

Don't the 80 gallon ones also have to have heat pumps built in, making them ALOT larger then what they are replacing?

I installed one of theirs last summer. Biggest piece of shite I've ever bought. Both thermostats and both heating elements have been replace before it started working correctly. Their warranty is shite also. The guy they sent out, told me he had never worked on a water heater before. BTW, when the repair was scheduled, I was given a day, and the time frame was 9am-5pm.

They all last like 10-12 years tops now, no matter the brand. I only had one water heater and it needed replacing. Was 14 years old. I bought 2 State water heaters from coburns and had a plumber change one and then add the other one. He tied them in unison so I have 100 gallons of hot water now.

I put a Rheem in a couple years ago. No complaints.
