It is the powderkeg of the US for this thing, high density and mass transit. Plus you have the weather, people are inside where the virus does best.
I don't think NYC is really out of line with what we are seeing in Europe.

And this is why Russia's numbers aren't worth diddly on their low death rates. It's the damn ice box of the populated world and right now they are showing only 555 deaths. Their numbers are more laughable than China's.
