Looking at the p320, leaning FS over the Compact.
Mostly for range duty.
I have the p365XL, so I'm looking for a much bigger step up.

I have the Compact Medium. It’s the size of the Glock 19.
I like it. It has a good trigger but it’s not as good as the H&K VP9.
For the price and basically the same size, I’d compare the two before you buy.

Never heard of a compact medium.

I have a 320carry and like it aloft. I put an X carry grip on it bought from Sig because fit my hand better Did not like the 320X with cutout one barrel but liked the grip. Very easy to switch out grip. Shoots well out of the box.

Me either but that’s what’s stamped on the frame (or whatever SIG calls it).
Bought it from academy. It was the 1st p320 I saw.

The P320 is the successor to the innovative (but flawed) P250 modular pistol. A lot of the concepts and language come from that.
"Compact" (I think) in this context is frame/length (with Full size, carry, compact and subcompact being the spectrum). "Medium" is the size of the grip module, with small, medium and large being the choices there.

As Ace clarifies, in his own words... the "M" stamped on the back lower back of the grip module is the grip size or diameter of the grip.
I love the P320 and the modularity that comes with it. So much so, I have an Xcarry and a subcompact, which sports an xseries grip so that I can use both 17 and 21rd mags if I want to. I do have a subcompact frame and mags as well... if I feel the need. And I'm a fan of my M17s as well.

The Legion has the tungsten-infused polymer frame and the added weight provides incredible balance and finding the target more quickly after a shot.
Big price difference between the standard and the Legion, but absolutely worth every penny.

I ended up getting the Legion grip module to replace the stanard. I wish I'd gotten the Legion to start. Between the weighted grip and the Romeo sights, I can rapid fire and keep everything in the scoring zones on the QIT target.
I love that pistol.

I have the compact in .357 Sig. Very happy with it.

The P320 x5 Legion is one of the best out of the box pistols out there. Incredible weight and balance. Awesome Dawson fiber sights. Great trigger. Shoots flat and fast. I just put a delta point pro on mine.

For you P320 owners out here - are any of you collecting X-change kits or other parts to reconfigure the guns or are you just keeping them pretty much "as is"?
My biggest quarrel with Sig is that they push these things (there are even X-Change kits for the classic Sigs, including .22 LR), but they are impossibly hard to find in stock.
If you guys are getting X-Change kits (or just different grip modules), are you finding them in stock fairly easily?

I haven’t yet but I’ve been wanting to do something like this.

I thought about getting one before I got my Canik. The one at my local gun store had the one with the flat trigger(can't think of what it's called). I did some research and it seemed there were some people who had immediate problems with it. I assume they got those all taken care of but I was still super curious about that trigger. Does anyone have any experience with that trigger or know what I'm talking about?

It’s the 320 x5. The only problem I have heard is from the LCI barrels blowing gas up on the lenses of optics. Sig did away with the LCI and is changing barrels out for people. The trigger is really nice. A friend put a keres trigger in his and it’s far better, but the stock trigger is still pretty good.

Anyone find the FS bigger than necessary and felt like they should've gotten the compact?
FS bbl 4.7"
Compact 3.9
X5 even bigger, 5"bbl 43oz
