Sorry I used liberal models.
A liberal model would have been wrong in the other direction.

Everyone on this board is a science expert all of a sudden, as if science anything can be trusted anymore these days over common sense. Science lost its way to feelings decades ago.

Why the hell are we not collecting and blasting this data nationwide and using it to drive policy?

Impeachment didn't work.

That’s probably about the same ratios you’ll see across the country.

Not sure if the numbers hold across the entire country, but here's the math.
72.8% were those over 65. Of those 74.7% had an underlying condition. Interesting that 87.4% of the 45 - 64 had an underlying condition. Clearly if you are young (< 64 ) and healthy you have almost no chance of dying from the virus. Probably about the same as the flu especially, if you did not get a flu shot.
There is no reason whatsoever to keep the country locked down.

So far

So far? If this thing was so contagious and deadly, bodies would be piled five high in NYC by now. They live in skyscrapers, take mass transit and taxis everywhere and crowd half a dozen wide sidewalks. It's heaven for a contagion, but the total cases and deaths are a blip on the radar.

Idiots on TV have been saying for weeks now that the Asheville area will be one of the next big hotspots. Needle has barely moved in weeks.

frick this crap. I want to go back to work.

Well, as it turns out, covid deaths have accounted for more dead than all other causes of death combined for the last month in NYC. By a lot.

Even at the state level, in the state of New York, for the past month there have been more deaths due to covid than from all other causes of death combined.

Someone isn't paying attention.
