Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act is difficult to get around. The US could declare China a sponsor of terror and consider this a terrorist act, which is how 9/11 victims brought suits, but that is unlikely.
If you think a couple of weeks of being shutdown while the government is paying your payroll and expenses to sit home is bad then you would really love what World War III with China would do to your business. If we started collecting trillions of dollars from them in our court tort systems and seizing their US assets to pay on the judgments that’s what it would likely come to.

You can always sue a foreign nation or world organization. But if you win your going to have an almost possible time actually collecting anything.
If you want to read about the situation, check out the law suits filed from the Iran hostage crisis back in the day.

well.
unfortunately, we have no payroll.. they were all fired. gratefully, we have indefinite deferment with our landlords. so we have can afford to sit playing skyrim VR around during this shutdown..
and thanks to PPP funds we can bring the gang back...eventually.
but will the demand be there??
..will i need to fire everyone again after june 30?
but i dont believe anyone takes the risks of business just to "exist".
IF this economic damage was intentionally caused by China.. I'm not sure how this would *not* be considered an act of war.
...is it better to wait for China to continue growing? ..maybe match the USA militarily?
if a confrontation between USA and China must happen eventually.. maybe now is the time.
frankly, China at the very should be isolated just like every other commie totalitarian that every existed...
...and on the personal level i'd be 1st in line any class action suit (if it were plausible)
