Almost no one goes off-road in a brand new $40k truck they still owe on. Running boards would be the last damn thing you’d want if you were too.
No worries. I sold my Tacoma because I wanted to go on tougher trails. It was either full sliders, bumpers, and an ARB locker...or sell it. I got the wife a luxury SUV and I’ll bide my time on an off-road vehicle. I’ll buy something I can literally walk away from.

My 2008 4Runner has been so solid, 180k and only changed the oil. I paid $23,000 for it with around 30k in 2009, it's probably worth $7,000 today. So basically, $16k of value lost in 11 years....that's strong.
When I get a new ride, it will be another 4Runner, although, I'm probably sticking used.
