Why I B Chinaman seems to think a temporary shut down has pigs running the streets of Sioux Falls. You can buy one for pennies on the dollar! Why but Amish when you can load a few up in your truck and head to a local butcher!
Buy Amish because they offer peppered, maple-glazed, applewood and hickory smoked bacon. Plus fat breakfast sausages and maple links. We haven't bought grocery store meat in almost a year. If I scooped up some free range hogs they'd go to the Amish for prep.

almost every poster is happy because the domestic plant employing Americans shutting down is owned by a Chinese company.

It's like excess pork processing capabilities don't exist in your idiotic world.

So what is the problem? What is your point?
The problem is the virus is impacting supply chains as you acknowledge.

Is the American government seizing their property?
I hope not but a couple of "national socialists" here want the government to do that since Smithfield is a Chinese company as if that means anything to the average bacon consumer in the USA.

I want to thank you for informing me that Smithfield Farms is owned by the Chinese.
Note to self...avoid all Smithfield Farm products.

No!
You consistantly defend chy nah when you have to know that they {chy nah} would love nothing more than to see the US fall.
I don't care for you or your chy nesse bullshite.
chy nah needs to come clean on covid, the atrocities of the chy nese people and mankind around the world.

Not all of them are branded. Just avoid pork altogether if you want.
Oh---they are 5% owned by Goldman Sachs. Mnuchin is an alumni of GS and the phase 1 deal he and the President did will make American investment in Chinese entities much easier. This was a very large part of the trade war most here supported and continue to support.
Maybe you can live with yourself if you just eat 5% of the pork you used to eat?

If that is a sentence I would love a link to back it up.
Are you capable of finding such back up??

Come on jerkoff tell me about SF feeding hogs versus selling them short term to Seaboard.
Posted on 4/12/20 at 6:11 pm to Jbird

Trump needs to step up right away and solve this. If we let this weak arse virus create a food shortage, then we are even dumber and weaker than I thought.

No I do not.
Explain to me just what you mean.
I am not defending China at all. Why when I state facts about China that you people do not believe do you think I am defending China?
Point to a SINGLE post I have defended China. There are a lot of post like yours where I have simply posted facts that dispel the statements of posters but that does not make me a defender of China. It simply makes me a defender of the truth you do not want to hear.
You've been against the tarrifs from the day I joined this board. If you're not defendinding china it sure seems that way to me.
Not sure if you have some kind of trinkets made over there and sold here or what, but you definitely have some vested intrest over there

SF closed for a month is not going to cause a food shortage no matter what I B Chinaman babbles.

I have started buying 4H Pigs. Slaughtering them and having a butcher cut them up. It comes out to about $2.90 a pound. Tastes great too.
