I don't live in La anymore; but I am pretty fond of the whole state. There's not a city or town there that I would feel the need to gripe about. I'm very loyal to La and everyone living there.

The Shreveport Times is running articles every day encouraging the new millionaires to give their money to the Shreveport Symphony (hey, SS, get out of town..no one likes you) and the Providence House for the Homeless (hey, druggies, get a job and stop having kids).
I hope all the new millionaires spend their money on yachts and SUVs. We need to stop global cooling.

The Providence House actually requires all of its residents to have a job and forces them and their kids to wake up every morning at 6 am and clean the whole house. it is the perfect charity, they make these people work their arse off and help them get jobs and make them pay for most of it themselves. Don't knock Providence house, it is too bad that not all charities are like this. In fact I think you have to have children to even be there. It is a program and you can fail and get kicked out. They make people get jobs and get their asses off the streets. strict program.

I agree with you shreveporttiger.
Providence House is probably the best run homeless shelter there is. Every person in there that is eligible to work has to either have a job or be looking for a job everyday, the people that run it check the different companies that they go interview with to make sure they aren't lying.

so I guess Lake Charles and Holly Beach are part of texas too. especially since they are just as close or closer to texas than Shreveport.

I have a friend in monroe who is a 49ers fan, i guess monroe is part of California.
Not really from LA, wow that really makes shreveport suck.
your probably right, there are many people in shreveport who own property in texas so they don't have to pay as much in income taxes.
