I wouldn't neccesarily consider that series to be classic. The starless Pistons vs. the Spurs during their "boring offense" era wasn't really delivering big ratings.

If I had to come up with a top five of hardest finals to enjoy watching in my lifetime, it would probably be:
Spurs/Pistons, 2005.
Spurs/Nets, 2003.
Spurs/Cavs, 2007.
Knicks/Rockets, 1994.
Lakers/Magic, 2009.
