Does anyone on the PT board know anyone diagnosed with the Chinese Flu?

I loudly said when this began I would probably know no one that would have it.
The closest it has come to me is a guy I work with - His adult daughter is a Nurse Practitioner in Nashville. She got diagnosed today.
But I don't even know her name. Just know her dad.
So I still don't know anyone.

At least 2 so far.
A couple more mysteriously stayed away from work a couple of weeks ago and it was all hush hush.

A couple have said so.
My mom keeps telling me she has a fever that comes only at night, which is odd. I've tried to get her to call a doc, but you know parents.

Yes. I work in healthcare and know at least 5 people with it. Four very mild symptoms. 1 was pretty sick but better now.

We just had a 70+ year old man die in two days after entering the local emergency room Sunday that tested positive. He is the father of the High School Principal neither of which I personally know, but it hit close and at a place I have used for blood testing only so far. The test came back after his death. He had several other underlying conditions. It is not a big city 11-12K Population and 45-60 minutes to the next closest city.

No.
Every test we have sent off has come back negative for Covid-19.
Did have two confirmed positives at the main hospital. Wife's hospital system, different from us, has not had a positive yet. She thinks they will get their first one from someone today.
We were sending out respiratory panels also but now we are critical on those. Allergy season is also causing chaos, normal sinus infections and pneumonia from just regular upper respiratory infections.
Seen more positive human metapnuemovirus that my lab has sent out.

Pollen here is the worst I've ever seen.
I'm surprised the panic over this isn't worse considering how many people are affected by this.

Know two. Both are not close to me.
My Administrative assistants husband has it. He is a police officer and both him and his partner have it.
Girl my wife works with has it. I only met her at the company Christmas parties.

Yep, my black truck was green today. My windows were horrible.
I will say that most people are staying out of our ER for their minor care. Got that going for us.

Had a check up Monday and was talking to my doctor. He has had 2 cases and said they were no worse than a cold.
