Per Fox News
Must be a four-corners deal. There were only 3 senators on the floor for the last couple hours. They said they had zero input into the bill that will be sprung on them in the morning - a half-hour before the vote.

The senators have to pass it to find out what is in it. LOL

Pray tell.

Have clients asking left and right to get funding through this mechanism.

ETA : I hate doing SBA loans, but in this environment, some of these business have 2 options, 1) get the loan and hope revenue doesn’t fall off a cliff in the next 3 months and use the capital to bridge until economic recovery, or 2) don’t take the loan and go out f business.

Sure as shite won’t be getting conventional financing anywhere

If you take a federal small business loan you are now working for the federal government

They start fine combing over all your financials. They start asking employees about any issues they may have and build a file.

Its a terrible idea that too many people will do and they will lose whatever shite level rights they had in the first place.

But, one house member could potentially kill it? Glad things are moving in the Senate but the current house members have shown where their allegiances lie. It's not with the American ppl.

Will probably be a small portion going directly to the citizens in need and the majority going to inefficient programs and services that will keep government employees working and leaving crumbs for the masses after it gets filtered through all the red tape.

Yea that’s straight up not true, lol. Maybe if they are acting as a direct lender, like they would be in the Disaster Recovery program they have rolled out I could see that being the case.

But if I’m making the loan under our PLP status, they deal with the bank directly.

They arent rolling this out as anything but a federal government loan from the US Treasury

You will be under the full weight of someone in an office in Alexandria that does not give a shite and passes paper all day

I would highly advise against taking the federal loans right now. Stick to your state at worst.

Don’t necessarily disagree with you, but there isn’t a ton of liquidity out there for small businesses.

Some companies will have to take it to survive. Some companies will take it even though they don’t need it and probably end up wishing they didn’t.

This amount of money, in this short time frame has never been done in history

Take the assistance, they will be too swamped to make anyone miserable, for quite some time

Yeah I think many people are going to do it

Its too much money being dangled in front of people right now without any care for what it actually means to basically loan out your company to the dreaded feds

Its a shitshow
