A senior administration official messages that the stockpile team is working to get 4,000 ventilators to NYS within 36 - 48 hours, a fifth of the stockpile’s ventilators.

Why does NY deserve 1/5th of the stockpile?
Besides, I thought it was 400 they were sending a Cuomo needed 30K...

Can't wait to hear Cuomo say "What the hell do I do with only 4000 unit's what do I tell the other 22000 people who need them now?"

Appears to me the government of New York wasn't even remotely prepared for such a scenario as we have but yet he expected our national government to be? I call that being hypocritical.

Well, they do have over 1/3 of the active cases in the country

Maybe they have 1/5th of the cases?

They have around half of our domestic cases.

Ok, someone says 1/3 and another say 1/2, so which is it... numbers do matter kinda like the difference between 400 and 4,000 and 30,000...

Trump showed the Fox interviewer a document which shows Cuomo rejected a requisition to buy 16,000 ventilators in 2016. Hmmmm...

Not sure on the most updated numbers. But this morning US had a total around 46k, with NYC’s total in the 23k area
ETA: 1/3 and 1/2 are both well above 1/5. Seems like in any event the number of ventilators being sent to NY is actually less than proportional to their number of cases

K then, they should get 1/2 then amirite? not 1/5th?
I wonder what NY's total number of patients on ventilators is right now...

I don’t understand your position here. It seems reasonable to me that NY and NYC specifically would receive a large number of ventilators relative to everywhere else.
Do you disagree? Do you think they aren’t receiving enough?
