So my SIL just got a letter from the state ordering her to close her business until April 20.

If the govt is gonna order it to close shouldnt the govt pay for the loss of revenue.

No, but they should forgive all bills like rent/utilities/etc. for her.

Morally or legally?

If the latter, this wouldn’t constitute a taking under the current state of the law.

Pics or it didn’t happen. I’d like to see exactly what the letter said.

So other private entities should lose revenues due to the govt decisions?

Seems it makes more sense for the govt to take on that responsibility if they are giving the orders.

What type of business is it out of curiousity? Just wondering how far out the government is reaching.

What he meant to post was that his SIL knows someone who owns a business and they got something in the mail that said something about closing.
