The first 9 games of the 2011 season with JLee at QB were lights out. That was the second best Offense to 2019. JLee could have been so good under a better Coaching staff.

2013 offense was way better than 2011.

Yet his numbers were still similar to JJ...who was not real good.......we are literally discussing two mediocre Qbs, no matter.

You want to see terrible? Go Jennings v Harris V Hatch

This is false. I liked Lee but he turned into a deer in headlights when pressure was applied. It's why he was so bad against Bama. No amount of coaching can change that.

Wrong. The offense was propped up by the defense all year long. They were constantly on short fields. They were an extremely efficient Redzone offense that’s why they put up the scoring numbers they did but the yards per game was not great. The offensive game plan was literally don’t turn the ball over and wait for the defense to make a play. No team in the country was able to drive the length of the field on that defense consistently. That’s why Miles went with JJ when he could. He knew JJ would take a sack before throwing a bad pass but Lee would just throw it up when the pressure came. This strategy would have won a NC if they played anyone but Bama in that game. Bama was the better team. They were in the game of the century and LSU was lucky to leave with a win.

With that said, I wish Miles would have put Lee in the second half of the NC. I don’t think it would have made a difference in the game but would have saved us from years of debating over whether it would have lol.

All wrong. J Lee simply did not have the courage to play the position. The 2011 offense was only successful because it had a good (not great) running game and a defense that wore the other team out.

Do you remember all those plays Burrow made this year by cooly moving around the pocket? Forget those with Lee. He would have panicked and vomited the ball somewhere on the field.
