Buying meat directly from processor / slaughter house

With the run on meat products at the grocery stores, my sister in law had been talking about how she sometimes goes to Fortenberry's outside Picayune to buy meats. Said prices were good and meat was excellent.
So Sat we rode out there. bought about $90 worth of sausage, pork ribs, ground meat, stew meat, hamburger patties, the steaks used to make smothered meat (can't remember what the cut is called), and a roast.
Prices were really no more expensive than your regular grocery.
On Sunday we grilled the sausage, pork ribs, and hamburger patties. It was so good!!
A few years ago, we were buying a lot of meat from Cutrer's, kinda stopped because they aren't open on the weekends, and getting to the community market in BR on Sat mornings was kind of a PITA.
But... I think I'm going to recommit myself to trying to buy more meat from local places like this. I'm sure they could use the business.
What are some other S LA places like this, that are slaughter houses that sell direct to public?

You should warn people before sending them out there.
That place might be scary to some folks.
(I've had a calf processed there)

Think I’m going hit Bourgeios in Thibodaux tomorrow. There was zero ground meat available in any of the grocery stores today.

Fortenberry’s sausage is as good as it gets.
I buy almost all of my meat that isn’t seafood and steak from B&W in Houston.

Probably a good point. I grew up going there so I have that expectation. It's the real deal. I used to love when my dad would make the loop in the back and I saw the animals in the holding pens. Cow in the rear, ground beef and steaks out the front. The customer area is something straight out of a horror movie I suppose.
Still the world's best smoked sausage.

They must be super busy. I dropped off a steer yesterday, and the phone is now off the hook. I can't get a hold of them to find out my hanging weight.
