SAN FRANCISCO- A federal grand jury indicted 17 ( ) Bay Area residents for a broad range of racketeering crimes including RICO conspiracy, attempted murder, and assault, announced United States Attorney David L. Anderson and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agent in Charge Tatum King.  The Superseding Indictment handed down February 18, 2020 and unsealed today catalogues a litany of crimes allegedly perpetrated in and around the Mission District of San Francisco.

RICO Conspiracy for some San Fransisco gangbangers you say?

Man, it's a tough time to be a thug right about now. Yesterday was 600 nationwide. The largest cartel in the world goes down in Italy.

Lots of good shite happening while everyone is paying attention to this "super dangerous virus."

A jury in San Fran would sympathize with them though.

Well let's hope that doesn't happen.

depends, but I don't think these are people who fall under the more lax tier of the two tiered justice system

If any are democrat office holders your proposed punishment is a little heavy

I've been squawking for the last 15 years that the way to "get" gangs is thru RICO laws, when people and even LEOs complain about not being able to charge a specific gang member for a specific crime.
Why isn't this obvious?

It should be obvious. I think the problem has been people haven't actually been all too serious about trying to address the problem personally.

Because RICO laws are federal. If the Feds don’t take the case or it doesn’t rise to the level that they get involved then the gangs are only subject to state and local laws

Again, we haven't had an administration that was serious about taking on the problem.

Possibly, but only if you can’t find any toilet paper.

Georgia has a RICO statute that mirrors the federal one. It doesn’t get utilized as much as the feds do because state prosecutors are loaded down with all the stuff they HAVE to prosecute; feds have the luxury of being able to pick and choose their prosecutions for the most part.

Good thing it's a FEDERAL Grand Jury indicting them, because the communist illegal alien sympathizing piece of shite local DA in shite Fran would suck the tats on the cocks of the illegal alien MS-13 members and set them free before ICE could cuff the piece of shite animals.
