With all the offensive stats, here is a defensive one: Over the last 4 games, LSU faced 4 teams with preseason Hiesman QB candidates; they combined for 1 passing TD and 6 interceptions.

Joe Burrow: 95.5% of all Heisman first-place votes and 1846 point margin of victory over 2nd place Jalen Hurts. I know we all live for LSU football, but how many of us would have thought back in August that he would win the Heisman, let alone by the largest margin ever?

who the frick had Kellen Mond as a Heisman candidate? cuz that's 0 TDs and 3 Ints right there.

eta

apparently the Vegas Superbook had Mond at 50-1 this time last year, and has him at 50-1 again this year (with Brennan at 25-1)

to the OP, it's Joe's 60 TDs and threatening the all time comp% mark.

THEN beating 4,4,3 at the end of the year in the playoffs.

And the only reason they weren't 3,3,2 is because of LSU being ranked #1.

I'm not sure of this one, but I remember it being bantered about during the season.

No opponent had the ball in the fourth quarter with a chance to tie or take the lead.

The MOST amazing stat in this entire thread is that Clyde only had 1 receiving TD! I thought he had 10! Little frigger was everywhere.

3 WRs broke the single season receiving TD record

And while that was happening LSU had a RB rush for over 1,400 yards.

this team basically went 72/73 in the RZ

The Joe Brady difference. Biggest question for 2020 is how do we maintain our red zone efficiency without Brady. Not saying we're going to match it, because that would be impossible.

it's all so mind boggling that the only logical conclusion:

best team in NCAA history, statistically, and factually, in that last year's LSU football team would have beaten any team in the history of NCAA football

Besides everything else that's been mentioned:

-Joe was 25-3 as a starter. Included in those 25 wins were: Auburn twice, Georgia twice, MSU twice, Miami, Texas, A&M, alabama, Florida, Oklahoma and Clemson.
Two of the three losses were close to winnable (A&M and Fla '18.)

-Joe won 10 of his last 11 against Top Ten teams.

So many to choose from, but Joe's 60 total TDs is pretty insane.
