I think people are letting their personal opinions of Dolan taint their judgement of what’s right and what’s wrong

Riiiight.

And that isn’t happening w Spike.

Dolan has had a fan banned for saying “sell the team.” Had Oakley arrested.

It goes on and on. Meanwhile Spike has done nothing but spend close to 10 mill on a team that has been inept.

People that spend that kind of coin get entitled. Just like folks who fly all the time. They spend a ton. They expect a lot. And the airlines go out of their way to treat them well.

The first I heard of the story was when Spike went on ESPN, was that before or after the press release? Serious question.

Seems to me like Spike is the one making it into a large public fight

Oh. It was Spike that released a petulant press release?

It's not, making it into a larger public fight is the very stupid part.

Spike was the one that brought the thing public. Do the Knicks not have the right to defend themselves in the public forum because almighty Spike fricking Lee got his little feelings hurt because he was told he has to use the correct entrance now?

After. His stated reason for going on the show was to refute their press release.

My advice would be to not bad mouth the owner of a team that you have special privilege's for, on Twitter.

It actually kinda does, considering Spike's influence as a major part of the Knick brand he can tank that franchise's value with a simple wave of his hand. Why he hasn't makes zero sense to me bc he should if he's a true fan to ensure change.

Y’all are massively inflating Spike Lee’s worth to that franchise.

This is absurd, Spike does not have that power.

No it isn't, Spike's the Knicks superfan, the equivalent to Jack Nicholson with the Lakers, him sitting courtside and all his Mars Blackmon commercials are staples of the Knicks experience, when he got in that smack talk battle with Reggie Miller and the Knicks lost that game, everyone blamed Spike. It's inarguable, he's an inextricable part of the Knicks brand, why the hell else is the news media making a big deal about this incident? BECAUSE IT INVOLVES KNICKS BRANDLEADER SPIKE LEE AND FURTHERS THE BAD REPUTATION OF KNICKS MANAGEMENT (DOLAN). It's that simple.

The team is valuable because it’s located in NYC

And idiots still go to the games, these Knick fans don't help their argument to improve the team by continuing to attend the games, the problem is upper management.

not because of fricking Spike Lee

Spike's a big part of the Knicks brand, it's really undisputed

Gotcha, then yeah that’s pretty weird that they’d put a press release out for no reason.

Still think Spike is acting like a spoiled child though.

Spike is exactly like Jack Nicholson was to the Lakers.

Now imagine the buss family decided after years to enforce a policy of no sunglasses in the forum.

It would be asinine to enforce it w Nicholson. And if they did it would be horrible PR.

But the retards here are arguing just that. I’m inclined to believe there is more to this....what could it be.

Sure, but if Spike Lee dies tomorrow the Knicks wouldn’t lose value. That’s just an absurd statement, the number one reason for their value is their location. And the team derives probably 95%+ of that value from their location.

How many spoiled children spend 300k?

Until you’ve spent 10 mill I don’t think you should be taking about how someone reacts.
