SIAP, searches google and search function and saw nothing.

quote:

Appearing on ESPN's First Take on Tuesday morning, Lee said he's taking a hiatus from Madison Square Garden.

"I'm coming back next year, but I'm done for the season," the award-winning screenwriter and director said. "I'm done."

quote:

Lee's comments come a day after a video circulated online showing Lee yelling at Garden security outside an MSG elevator, leading some to say he was thrown out of the arena. But a Knicks spokesman said that was untrue and that it was simply an issue of Lee using the wrong entrance.

Lee and Knicks owner James Dolan could be seen shaking hands and smiling at halftime. Lee was in his sideline seat in the second half and stayed through the final buzzer as the Knicks defeated the Rockets 125-123.

quote:

Lee classified the Knicks' version of events as "spin." Lee said he had been coming in the same entrance to the Garden for the 28 years he has had season tickets. Lee specifically said he took issue with the Knicks' saying that he and Dolan were socializing at halftime.

"I wasn't shaking his hand," Lee said. "In fact, when he came over, I didn't get up right away."

Lee went on to say, "I'm being harassed by James Dolan. I don't know why."

quote:

"The idea that Spike Lee is a victim because we have repeatedly asked him to not use our employee entrance and instead use a dedicated VIP entrance -- which is used by every other celebrity who enters The Garden -- is laughable," the Knicks’ statement read. "It's disappointing that Spike would create this false controversy to perpetuate drama. He is welcome to come to The Garden anytime via the VIP or general entrance; just not through our employee entrance, which is what he and Jim agreed to last night when they shook hands."

From what I’ve read, it seems like Dolan is just being a count.

It seems to me like they asked him multiple times to use the VIP entrance and not the employee entrance. Don’t know why he feels as if he should get special treatment.

Lee shoulda made this a racial thing.
Force Dolan to sell, knicks get Cohen to buy, Knicks become good.

A win for him as a fan.

The fact that their official statement reads like a pissed off soccer mom email is a big clue as to how dysfunctional this whole organization is.

They already have an entrance for celebrities. Not sure why Spike feels so entitled.

I’m actually on Spike’s side here. Dolan is a little bitch. Dolan completely lied in the press release yesterday.

“It’s a plantation over there. It’s bad,” Oakley, 56, said Wednesday on ESPN’s “Golic and Wingo.”

“Donald Sterling didn’t sell his team either until the NBA came in and did something,” Oakley said. “If you’re a former player and what happened to me when they [dragged] me out of there for no reason, and we got the tape and I didn’t do nothing, it’s like lynching somebody back in the ‘40s and ‘50s. [Dolan] don’t care. I hate to put him in the category of Donald Trump, I think he’s Trump’s nephew. He don’t care.”

But it only seems that way because the Knicks said it and we already know the Knicks harass patrons at games at Dolan's request then come up with some BS afterwards.

If this is true then I have no problem with them doing whatever they wish regarding his access to the arena. Also, if he was so offended why is he saying he’ll be back next year? Doesn’t make sense.

If this is not what happened then once again Dolan is a retard.

Hard to take Dolan's word over anyone

Spike called him basically a POS on ESPN yesterday

Spike Lee is part of the Knicks brand

To piss him off isn't very smart.
