300k WHILE knowing you aren’t getting a premium product.
Spike forks over the cash every year. Regardless of record.
Imagine any other customer situation where you would spend that yearly knowing the product is gonna be poor to middling. At best.

The amount of people on this board who actually support spike’s entitled attitude is shocking
I really don’t get it

I'm more of the belief that the Knicks have let Spike use the employee entrance for a while and only made an issue out of it when they got mad at him for something else.
That does not mean Spike is necessarily in the right, but I can't exactly believe the Knicks story that he was violating policy for years and years and this is the first time something serious happened that led to an incident.
It's far more logical that the Knicks let him do that for years, then tried to stop him and he got mad about what he was used to being taken away.

I don't believe anything Dolan said. And believe he is a little bitch. He makes a ton of money. WHO CARES.
He probably read a tweet that morning that said "Spike Lee should be the owner of the Knicks" and he flipped a switch.

How did I guess that somehow, one of these morons would drag Trump into this.
Sure enough.
So glad I quit watching this shite product three decades ago.

It's not about Spike. Even if he's 100% in the wrong they should try to de-escalate it, not explain why they're in the right, if they don't want pettiness and shitshow to continue to be their brand.
Exactly. Spike is probably wrong, but the reaction of a multi-billion organization acting like a petty little bitch toward a loyal fan of their horribly shitty product is pretty stunning.

Dude has stuck by the shite franchise while it becomes a trash dumpster.
You kind of give these type of season ticket holders special privileges. He wants to walk thru tunnel with players, so be it.
It's not like the big name Celebutards in LA don't get special privileges. In fact i have watched laker games during magic johnson days and you would see Celebutards chatting with players in tunnel after the game.

What businesses are you using that do this that aren’t mom and pop shops?
I get told to frick myself everyday by companies the size of the Knicks.
And furthermore, the customer isn’t always right. The customer is typically wrong most of the time.

Most people don't have a reason to dislike Spike Lee, but I get where you coming from dude.

"I'm coming back next year, but I'm done for the season," the award-winning screenwriter and director said. "I'm done."
Why don't you just not come back until the Knicks get better ownership since Dolan's the lynchpin to all this ineptitude and toxicity? These Knicks fans don't do the franchise any favors by continuing to attend these games or watch them on tv at least as far as management is concerned. Not one of Spike's brighter moments.
quote:
But a Knicks spokesman said that was untrue and that it was simply an issue of Lee using the wrong entrance.
I know Dolan and these people own the arena and can legally evict people and enforce their rules but it's Knicks superfan Spike Lee, the dude's affiliation with the team inextricably contributes to its brand, doesn't make any sense to make an issue about the entrance he uses unless you want to piss him off.
quote:
Lee and Knicks owner James Dolan could be seen shaking hands and smiling at halftime. Lee was in his sideline seat in the second half and stayed through the final buzzer as the Knicks defeated the Rockets 125-123.
OK now Spike's starting to lose me with this account
quote:
Lee specifically said he took issue with the Knicks' saying that he and Dolan were socializing at halftime.
If pics are out there contradicting Lee's account about halftime, then his denial effectively amounts to a flat-out lie
quote:
Lee went on to say, "I'm being harassed by James Dolan. I don't know why."
OK now this is becoming comical
quote:
The idea that Spike Lee is a victim because we have repeatedly asked him to not use our employee entrance and instead use a dedicated VIP entrance -- which is used by every other celebrity who enters The Garden -- is laughable
It's Spike Lee a guy inextricably connected to your brand, let him use the employee entrance like he always did, doesn't serve you to prevent him from doing so
quote:
He is welcome to come to The Garden anytime via the VIP or general entrance; just not through our employee entrance, which is what he and Jim agreed to last night when they shook hands.
Spike ever rebut this??

I didn’t do nothing, it’s like lynching somebody back in the ‘40s and ‘50s. [Dolan] don’t care. I hate to put him in the category of Donald Trump, I think he’s Trump’s nephew. He don’t care.”
There's a reason Oak does not serve in positions that require actual intelligence and distinguishing facts from fake news.

That shouldn't matter, they asked you to use a different entrance, use a different entrance.
He's Spike Lee, loyal Knicks superfan for years, inextricably part of the Knicks brand you don't just require him to use a different entrance and then expect that he comply, this is the Knicks and Spike Lee we're talking about here, considering Lee's importance to the brand and how bad the Knicks have been, Lee's got leverage in terms of affecting public opinion about the franchise just sayin
