Instead of starting a whole new thread on this, I will just combine it with the game thread for some discussion before the game. I found this real interesting, 1st my tweet to Jamelle

quote:

Was it just me, or was the ball not moving last night like we have grown used to seeing it lately?

Just watching on TV it seemed the half court sets were a little more stagnant than usual

Then his response

quote:

Definitely had our moments in that category. Guys got tired and started standing waiting for the next guy to make it happen. 2 of those periods hurt us

We as a young team that wants to play fast, cannot get tired against the oldest team in the NBA, especially with LA on the SGOAB2B... That tells me they absolutely worked us on the defensive end and wore the guys out.. This is where missing Redick will hurt the most, as he's always running no matter what on offense, dude just doesn't stop.

But on to tonight.

SONS,

We got worked last game, I will choose to erase that series from my mind.

I predicted post ASB we would go 20-7 with losses to LAL, Mavs, Clips, Spurs and 6ers, with 2 WTF losses thrown in there.. We had one WTF loss with LAL, so rope is getting thin on that prediction..

Tonight we have the perfect bounce back team.. Wolves suck arse and they are missing KAT..

Hopefully the guys rested up and are ready to get back to playing Pels brand of basketball, and we have an easy win.

Zion hits a new career high, Zo dishes 15 assists, BI gets his shooting on track, Pels win easily.

Pels: 132
Wolves: 112

Are we looking at any limits on Zion tonight because of the back-to-back? Also I want to see Brandon settle down and stop forcing bad shots. If we can take these next two I’ll feel a lot better.

He has been playing 30+ minutes a game lately, so hopefully his restrictions are lifted and he can play both games..

Biggest hope is for a super easy win where we can rest everyone in the 4th..

In a BI interview he said he feels like he was trying to press to much and force everything in the Laker game rather than letting the game come to him. Should be a good learning experience for him, we all know he puts in the work

I like the fact that BI acknowledges and knows what his mistakes were and take responsibility for them

20+ point lead going into the 4th would be wonderful.

Zion still not in shape. Part of the reason his defense is so bad.

No his defense is bad for the same reason that every rookie every plays bad defense.

That is definitely a major part of it but his lateral mobility was great at Duke and hasn't been since his injury. Fortunately both should improve as he continues to play.

Being 12-18 at home probably pushes away the fair weather fans
