Whenever the novel coronavirus is discussed on CNN, there are two points that are hammered every time.
1. Trump's "cuts" to the CDC caused the epidemic in America
2. Trump squandared the time China bought us
This leads me to believe Xi Jinping is attempting to influence our election. Foreign inteference!

Insofar as the CDC works for Trump, I guess you could hold Trump responsible.
The key to stopping spread is recognition of the disease.
The CDC knows that. It is basic, basic stuff.

The CDC had a month to orchestrate wide-distribution of tests.
It screwed the pooch.
Not only were CDC COVID-19 tests under-requested/underproduced. They contained contaminated reagent which produced false positive results, and were all recalled. They pissed away all of the three weeks Trump's China travel bought them.
CDC's massive screw up is being investigated. So in terms of future response, hopefully such BS will never occur again.
Azar appeared on TV yesterday and seemed to be double-talking the CDC testing situation. That kind of response will get eaten up as duplicitous, and rightfully so. The CDC screwed up. OWN IT.
As James Sherman said, "You can’t go back and make a new start, but you can start right now and make a brand new ending." Azar and others in this Administration should heed Sherman's advice.

God,I hate to defend CNN but I did just watch a segment with Brooke Burke interviewing Andrew Cuomo and its the most rational discussion I've seen on the network.
Of course 90% was coming from Cuomo who wasn't blaming DJT or anyone else in the administration.He wasn't overly concerned and laid out a completely rational response to
Burke's questioning and of course she had a completely constipated/disgusting look on her face...the one she makes when ANYONE strays from the CNN narrative.
