Why do the Democrats go through the farce of a nomination process

when they already know each time who their chosen candidate is before the process begins? Wouldn’t it save everyone time, money and trouble if the party simply picked him/her from day one?

Most elections are farces.
They’re just illusions.
Without Trump, we would have had Bush or Clinton.

I think it’s a large scale focus group.

From the "party of the people" to the party of international high finance, the MIC, Wall Street, neoliberal corporatists etc.
North Korean elections are more fair than dem primaries.

It is supposed to be democractic....but.
That being said, this cycle is the first time I have read multiple stories, narratives about abandoning the primaries, and just let the party nominate.

This is about the most typical thread. 2008, Dems knew Obama would be nominee? How about now? You want to put your money on Sanders or Biden because it’s becoming a coin flip. No guarantee Biden wins this if that’s what you’re getting at.

Just because people here don’t know who the predetermined winner is doesn’t mean there isn’t one.
None of us knows who is going to win the next smack down either but someone does.

The DNC/MSM Political Complex always chooses their favorite.
They pushed Obama over Hilldebeast. Just go back and read what Bill “#metoo” Clinton said during that farce.
Then they pushed Bernie aside because it was “Her Turn”. Just ask any Bernie Bot.
And now they are again brushing Bernie aside in favor of Joe “Quid Pro Quo” Biden.
