Recommendations for “substitute” vacation that starts in Cincinnati?

Long story short: Trip to Italy planned in May. I have to cancel by March 30 in order to get 85% of my money back. Wife worried about coronavirus.
My son lives in Cincinnati, and I really want to see him and my 5 month old granddaughter (8 mos by then), who I haven’t seen since Christmas.
Thinking I might rent a car and drive to Pittsburgh (4.5 hours), take in a Pirates game and enjoy the town, then drive to Gettysburg. Maybe take in Antietam across the border in Maryland. Fly home from Pittsburgh.
Gimme some ideas.

Well I mean, its Cincinnati. Gettysburg is nowhere near there.

How much time are you allowing for the road trip?
If you go to Antietam you should also go to Harpers Ferry; it is not far.
The Flight 93 Memorial is about 2 hours east of Pittsburg; on the way to Gettysburg more or less.

Fyi-Gettysburg has individual guudes you can hire thru NPS who will give personal tour. If you like history, this is well worth it. Cost was abt $50 a few years back. The park is spread throughout the town so this was very helpful.

I was in Cincinnati not long ago for work and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. My favorite places were Rhinegeist Brewery, Mita’s, and Mercer. The OTR area where the Mercer is fun to hang out/bar hop.
