I went there a few times,did pretty good in the spring with Carolina rig lizards.I would catch 10-12 3 to 5 lbs.They were in the slot and I had to release them but it was fun.
What I read was the grass is coming back and the fishing is getting better.Also they did away with the slot,not sure why.

Seems to be a common issue with our state wildlife agencies. I hope to live long enough to see another lake in Texas filled with hydrilla. Sorry about Caney lake.
