It’s crystal clear it bothers you that some players will leave college early to get paid in the XFL. You can say it doesn’t bother you, but your staunch defense of players staying on your precious college team shows your hand.
Dude I’ve been one of the biggest champions of XFL on this board

I just don’t see it being realistic and a laid out why. I haven’t been emotional or called you names or made accusations your way or anything. Simply made an argument

Also... you’re still hung up on the idea that it’s only going to be “unproven 18 year olds”. No one has ever said that. Again... we’re talking about players who have already played in college, who are going to the NFL regardless, and will choose to play their final year of eligibility in the XFL making money.
Every college player is unproven. None of them have played pro football. The XFL does not have the infrastructure to handle a ton of big money misses like the NFL does
And you’re simply being naive if those players you would consider proven aren’t already getting money under the table and are going to forgoe the National attention that college football brings
As good as a start this league has had, its still pulling in Sunbelt numbers in attendance. I love it but you’re putting the cart wayhead of the horse here

The XFL Draft should be real interesting next season!
Indeed it will
But according to wildtigercat93, there won’t be a single player choosing to leave college to play! It just won’t happen! It just can’t happen!

How am I the one being accused of being bothered

Surprised that Williams got benched.

That 58 yard FG was big time. We are really, really good.

Battlehawks player traded a ball for box if Thin Mints...proceeds to eat them on the sideline.
Pure awesomeness.
Pure awesomeness.

I wonder how much the NFL would fine a player for trading a football for a box of girl scout cookies.

Guardians finally score a TD but probably too little too late even this is the XFL and anything can happen.

You still have to wait 3 years to enter the draft. You’re going to turn down top notch nutrition and training and exposure for entry level money? What do you do for the other 9 months besides be forgotten about by NFL scouts
That's the biggest hurdle right now IMO. Would a sophomore be tempted to make a few hundred thousand? Sure. But what's he going to do for the next year and change? Would they still get invited to the combine?
It'd make sense for bubble junior / senior players but they're not going to be star names.

Why would they do this? They'd be giving up a year of superior coaching, developmentand other perks for what? 75K?And its not even guaranteed.
They'll also be expected to play asap and will they skip their junior year to play in a spring league and then go immediately into summer workouts for to he NFL? Or will they go immediately into a spring league after playing 12 games into December as a Sophomore? Lots of wear and tear over the course of 9 months of FB.

The college players I can really see leaving early are the ones with pro potential who are at small schools. Playing in the XFL will definitely give them more exposure than some of these Non-P5 teams will.

Absolutely. There will be many doing that.

Ka-Kawesome performance from the BattleHawks today.

And the majority of the XFL coaches are former NFL coaches. They are better than all of the G5 coaches and probably half of the P5 coaches.
