The increased risk of cautions come because of the increased competition in the racing, the door to door racing that the fans want to see. NASCAR is wanting to increase the excitement and it's working in my opinion. The fanned out caution free racing is the slower paced action that NASCAR is doing their best to eliminate

The artificial close racing that is manufactured by NASCAR cheapens the competition. Manufactured close racing is not exciting.
