For teachers though, who apparently work 96 hours or so per week, that's only 10 cents per hour. A slap in the face.

My wife is a teacher and coaches two teams. When those two seasons are going on she starts school at 7 and leaves school around 515. She also gets paid 6% of her salary for compensation towards coaching.

I guess what I’m trying to say is I hope my wife never reads your post.

So, your wife is an outliner, and at worst she is working 50 hrs a week and gets extra compensation.

That's why the 96 hrs a week comment is so laughable.

What about all of the vacation time she gets ?

My sister in-law is a teacher , she constantly whines about how "tough" her job is.

She teaches elementary school art , works from 7:30 until 2:30 , gets 14 weeks vacation for $45k.
