Broadly speaking:

Jazz 3’s for lead

Dunlop 0.60 for rhythm

There are 3 things you want in a pick
Tone
Speed
Durability

Hard to find a pick that does all 3 ( blue chip is probably the best)

But it’s hard to beat Ultex for a pick under a dollar

I've been playing for 46 years. I stopped using picks altogether about 5 years ago. Even for lead and melody stuff I just use my fingers. I feel more connected to the strings that way.
