Bernie breaks out of the pack, in Nevada race is for second or third place

Bernie Sanders is becoming harder to stop. Nevada is where his opponents are starting to realize it.
Advisers to three rival campaigns privately conceded over the weekend that the best anyone else could hope for here is second or third. Some of them gape at the crowd sizes at Sanders' events — like the swarm of supporters who accompanied Sanders, his fist raised, to an early caucus site in Las Vegas on Saturday, the first day of early voting in the state.

While few expect that Sanders can carry more than a third of the vote in Nevada, nearly everyone believes that will be enough to win in a field where the moderate vote remains splintered. It is becoming a source of celebration for Sanders' supporters and an urgent problem for those who want to prevent him from claiming the nomination.
“He’s going to win with 28 percent of the vote. We’re not talking about him getting 50 percent of the vote,” said Andres Ramirez, a Nevada-based Democratic strategist and former vice chairman of the Democratic National Committee’s Hispanic Caucus. “But the rest of the field is so fragmented, and he has his base locked, that he can continue winning just by holding onto his base.”

I'm not sure about his inevitability in Nevada... the Union bosses are going to work hard for Biden, and in 2016, polls had Killary and Bernie statistically tied and she won by a good margin (6 or 7% I think). But, if Sanders does win it, I think there's only one option for the establishment and that is to have Biden go ahead and declare Klobuchar as his running mate and have her drop out and support Biden. Only way they may slow the Bernie bro momentum.

That ain't a good sign. That means that 72% of the populace don't agree with his socialist brand of politics.

No doubt, and I'm not arguing that... but the Dems are going to do anything they can to prevent Bernie from being the nominee. Dont be surprised to see more "caucus chaos" if Bernie is leading by a wide margin.

Or they submit to the radical left AOC/Bernie, and hope for a crushing election defeat that puts the establishment back in control of the DNC.

I still think that if Bernie goes into the convention with less than 50% of the delegates, it will be brokered and go to Bloomberg/Hillary. This is why 2 months from the field will still be the same as today. Its intentional to keep the votes split up more.

How can a place that is super union, vote for Bernie?????

Ive thought about that, too, but do you really think that's the way it will go?
Or will it be "Trump stole the election and he's a criminal or Bernie would have won?" Do you think the crazy socialist base is going to moderate just because Bernie loses? What if it's a closer election than we think it would be?
You might be right... I'm just not sure the Perez's of the DNC want to risk that.

This, my friend, may be a perfect meme.

It’s still pretty scary that 28% do.

Think like how the GOP tried to submarine Trump in 2016. That's my guess.

When 68% of the left would rather see a meteor implode our earth as opposed to seeing Trump reelected, the 28 number is rather low I'd think.

It may be a sign that union votes aren't voting. It looks like Trump will get even more union member votes this go around.

Pete may bust out to second

Unions are going to be in a TOUGH spot in a Trump vs. Bernie general... Trump is working hard for blue collar workers and the traditional union base, and Bernie is advocating destroying employer-based health insurance that is basically one of the only reasons unions even exist anymore...

Maybe they are in the 72% not voting for Bernie.

If it is like the Iowa caucus, the non viable candidate supporters can switch to a viable candidate. If that is the case, I expect Bernie to get none of those people. That will close the gap.
