quote:I think you're confused. Bill Clinton was impeached, with the offenses you enumerated having underpinned the impeachment.
L.A.
He was not "convicted" in his Senate trial. Specifically, both articles of impeachment were dismissed.
So, if that is the "conviction" you are referring to, it never happened.
Additionally, even if Clinton had been "convicted" on either article in his Senate trial, that is a loose use of the word "conviction". At the very least, it is not apples to apples with Roger Stone having been convicted by an actual US District Court of criminal activity.

Whether or not a jury would have reached the same conclusion as a partisan senate is an altogether different question.

I personally think you're focusing on the wrong Clinton bad acts. He's STILL sort of just floating out there as a credibly accused rapist, no doubt getting standing ovations from "metoo-ers" and other woke flocks with nary a bit of cognitive dissonance causing them any pause.

But my point was to show a similarity between his conduct and Stone's conduct.

Holy shite. I used to think you were just a coy glutton for punishment but you’re legit fricking nuts

If Stone would’ve used Comey’s “no intent” he wouldn’t be in this mess. “No intent” is a slam dunk guaranteed legal get out of jail free card that seems to work with nearly any crime including lying under oath, destroying subpoenaed evidence and using an unauthorized private email server while conducting government business as US Secretary of State.

My takeaway was that your OP demonstrates the utter hypocrisy from the left and their MSM mouthpiece. I have seen all the clips of the frothing dim talking heads claiming that Stone's sentence was too light given the magnitude of his crimes.
Stone allegedly lied (which I understand to be gave incorrect testimony) to congress about an investigation about the alleged coordination that Mueller had already determined was unsupportable by the time Stone gave the false statement. Also, he was charged for intimidating a witness' dog, which wasn't intimidated (for his dog's safety).
dims seem to have a fetish for septuagenarians getting life sentences for getting caught in obvious process crime traps.

So was Bill Clinton. How much time did Bill Clinton serve?
He's married to Hillary. That is punishment enough.
