Anyone had the boiled crawfish from there? Drove by the other day and saw the sign

No crawfish but I go to the one in Dutchtown all the time for other stuff
The original owner owns the one in Lafayette
Most of their stuff is pretty good and I like their frozen selection to keep in the freezer.

Don't know about other locations, but their cracklin' in LC is the gold standard.

I checked their website for the BR Jefferson Hwy. store but no listing for "cracklins" - does anyone know if they carry them

I frequent the original one in Maurice and the new one in Broussard. They have never served pork cracklins. They do have chicken cracklins which is a relatively newer concept.

Interesting. The LC location has Chicken Cracklin, Pork Cracklin, Wet Pork Cracklin (it has some spicy sauce on it), and Soft Pork Cracklin (they sous vide the pork belly in the spice blend). The standard pork cracklin is fried perfection, perfectly crispy, never burnt, and almost every piece is a great cut.

The Jefferson location only has chicken cracklins. No pork. I called last week as I was craving some pork cracklin.

Havent had the crawfish but everything else I have had from there is outstanding.
Cracklins are incredible.

They started carrying pork cracklins. However, they are different in texture. I think they are smoked vs. rendered and fried in their own fat. They weren’t bad, but just different. My personal favorite is Billy’s seasoned cracklins. The Krotz Springs location is great because usually no lines. The Scott location is too crowded and I stopped messing with it.

I live in Scott and never go to Billy’s because of the lines. There is a new one in Carencro. There’s usually not a long line.
