I remember the story of Saban’s first bash
He was walking with someone from AD dept and he assumed couple hundred people would be there. When told more like 5k he stopped in his tracks and didn’t believe him
Also the cheers for Pete jenkins one year and the place erupting one year when Jimbo introduced himself (think after he considered going elsewhere but stayed)

Seeing the looks on the faces of newly hired assistants at their first bash was always fun. I remember the Bash right after Chavis was hired, the crowd started chanting “CHIEF CHIEF CHIEF” and Chavis has this look like “how tf do these people know who I am?”
