quote:

"As I was interviewing NFL people, I was told time and time again - starting with (former Bengals quarterback) Boomer Esiason the night after I won the Heisman Trophy ... everybody I was talking to along the way (said), 'You can't go to Cincinnati. You got to go somewhere else. You can't play for the Bengals. You can't play for the Bengals,'" Palmer said.

“I, at the time, was going, 'This is awesome.' I was arrogant. I was a young, arrogant kid. 'I'm good enough. I'm going to change the whole thing around. I’m going to change the narrative.' Obviously I wasn't able to change that narrative and flip that."

Joe, listen to this man.

Yeah he retired for a season to get out of a contract because they wouldn’t trade him. Then took the cardinals to the super bowl.

Carson Palmer is one of the more underrated QB’s in this generation of QB’s.

That was Kurt Warner who took Cardinals to Super Bowl. Palmer never made it to Super Bowl.

Someone will trade up for burrow. My bet is Carolina. You can believe Joe Brady went to the head coach/owner and said guys this kid is special. This kid is the next great. We could be set for the next twenty years.

Bodes poorly for JB9. Wish he would go else where.

You really think the players dont try and win? Then you have never played a sport.

I'm not sure how you missed it, considering he outright spelled it out in his statement, but apparently his point went right over your head. He never mentioned anything about the actual players, he was criticizing the organization for not making it a priority to put the team in a position to compete for title runs.

quote:

"I never felt like the organization was really trying to win a Super Bowl and really chasing a Super Bowl," he told Damon Amendolara on CBS Sports Radio. "That's what today's day and age is. You can't just hope you draft well and not go after free agents and you end up in the Super Bowl. You got to go get it."
