How long will Coach O be able to live off of this title?

CLM won in 2007 (although some say he did it with "Saban's players") but he still had the heat turned up on his job security 5-7 years later (probably beginning with 1/9/12). Granted CLM was in a different situation given that people argued that he refused to change the offense to the team's detriment. How long can Coach O go without another title before he too starts to feel the heat? 3 years? 5 years? 10 years? Longer?

Wait till Myles Brennan throws an incomplete pass. This board will erupt.

So obviously you expect him to fail eventually and regress. It's not about surviving off one championship it's about sustaining greatness. Way to support the coach who just put together the greatest season in college football history. And this is coming from someone who didn't like the O hire at first.

And he went 8-5 the next year. If O does that the heat will definitely be turned up right away. But I don't see that happening next year.

Depends on success going forward

8/9 wins a year the next 3 years won’t go real far

10 wins a year and I’m good and I think most would be willing to say he can get another one or more

My guess is he’s got the recipe that he knows works and he ain’t done

He will continue getting elite coaches on staff and recruiting will only get better as he earns credibility as a head coach

The 2011 season bought him more time. I know it ended badly but that was a great season and started the clock over.

There were rumblings during the 2010 season especially after the Tennessee debacle but he turned that season around and then 2011 came and most people held off until about 2013 when the rumblings started again.

It depends. What kind of teams we have, how competitive, winning SEC, etc. if we are a strong program , he has a long leash.

Coach O comes off ultra competitive. No LSU coach has 2 titles. It’s not like he’s eyeing the NFL like Saban. He’s coming for #2 and he ain’t backing down,

The issues with Les were quite different. His fans want to constantly bring up the 10 win seasons. For us season ticket holders who sat there for yrs watching anemic offenses year after year, painfully pathetic clock management, and 4-5 wins of the 10
Every year that could have just easily been loses, we had enough and complained from the beginning about him. In my opinion, it’s not about how many championships we win with O in charge, it’s more about how does the team compete and the excitement of being at the games or being fans at home. Kirby is pulling top recruiting classes year after year and they haven’t won anything....but they are competitive and in the mix every year. That’s what O will be judged on.

If there is a formidable offense next year people won’t care very much. Assuming Brennan is the guy next year, 2021 will tell a better story

OP is getting downvoted but legit question

He will be allowed 3 losses in 2020

If he loses more than 1 Brennan’s senior year this board will melt
