Actually, his defenses at Nebraska were really good early in games. Problem was the offense couldn’t stay on the filed long enough to give them a breather. Defenses would get gassed and give up a lot yards and points late in games. It’s hard to win against spread offenses if you can’t score yourself. Something every LSU fan should be extremely familiar with given our offensive struggles up until this year.
