That white dude from debate tourney was scared as frick to say anything negative about Townson and OU for their mockery of the event.

While it probably wouldn't have done anything in the context of the judgement of the debate, the key to beating this mindset is to not give a frick what someone calls you. In modern morality, being called racist is the medieval equivalent of being a Cathar or some other heretic.
