I feel sorry for the next bank he uses. Cashing two large settlement checks is definitely gonna look shady as frick.

It shouldn’t have been any big deal.. I’ve had a bank call me when a client was trying to deposit or cash a settlement check drawn on my trust account. I told the bank it was not a problem and that was that. Calling the fuzz was ridiculous. Responding officers wouldn’t be in any more of a position to determine the
Legitimacy of the checks. Plus, there’s nothing in the facts to warrant a serious suspicion of fraud.

You probably should feel sorry for him, not the poor bank

He was depositing them according to the article. there's a difference.
